Rotational Panoramic Cameras can shoot a full 360 degree field of view, and more. The perspective is one of the observer looking from the center out while turning around in a circle. As the camera moves the film must also move in the direction and at the precise speed of the moving image. The exposure is through a small slit that wipes the image on the film.

Cirkut Panoramic Cameras have been around since the early 1900s.  They were sold in sizes that shoot roll film from 5 inches to 16 inches wide. The #10 Cirkut Panoramic Camera is still in wide use today by professional photographers. Their huge negatives are usually printed by the contact method.
